Multimodal infrastructure combining five modes of transport: fluvial, maritime, river, road and oil pipeline. It is the head of a network of 18 industrial and port sites and 9 quays operated by CNR along the Rhône, in direct connection with the Grand Port Maritime of Marseille and the ports of the Saône .

Inaugurated on December 21, 2018, the river hydroelectric farm of Caluire on the Rhone is a world first. It consists of 4 vertical axis turbines with a power of 80 kW unit
